The number of positive urease tests, as an indicator of H. suis activity, was higher
in the finely-ground feed group compared to the coarsely ground
feed groups (P = 0.006, Table 5). Frequencies of positive urease
tests were 91.5%, 72.3%, 89.4% and 76.6% on the low fibre finely
ground, low fibre coarsely ground, high fibre finely ground, and
high fibre coarsely ground diets, respectively.
