Waterlogging reduced leaf water content within 5 days
and the effect was much greater in Chinese kale (down to 5–7 g/
g DW) than in Caisin (down to 6.5–8.5 g/g DW). The j of
waterlogged Chinese kale dropped from 80% on day 5 to 75%
on day 11 after treatment while Caisin maintained their relative
water content between 88 and 83% (Fig. 2).
