the partial least squares (PLS) and multiple linear regression (MLR) methods were proposed for the analysis of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) spectral data on blended oil samples to estimate qualitatively and quantitatively the presence of vegetable oils (canola, hazelnut, pomace and high linoleic/oleic sunflower, corn, soybean) as adulterants in commercial samples of extra virgin olive oil.
