as a general rule most fabric conveyor belts are suitable for curved installations. However, it must be remembered that belts on curved installations are subject to bending stresses in all directions. the typical conveyor belt, although longitudinally very flexible, tends to be rigid transversely. for this reason, the minimum required pulley diameter #, given in the product data sheets, must be substantially increased for curved belt installations. however, this rule does not apply to special "curve belts" that have approximately equal elasticity and bending properties both longitudinally and transversely.
