Description:
Bulltonque arrowhead can grow up to 3 feet tall. The leaves have an arrowhead shape leaf blade up to 10 inches long. The large white showy flowers grown on a leafless stems above the leaves. The flowers have 3 petals and appear in late spring and summer.
Habitat:
Bulltongue arrowhead is a member of the water-plantain family. It grows in swamps and marshes and along the edges of shallow bodies of water.

Also Called Duck Potato or Wapato because of its edible egg-shaped rhizomes. Native Americans cleared ponds of competing plants to locate and harvest the tubers in fall. The tubers were stored and cooked as needed, providing an excellent source of carbohydrates
