How can we apply these location theories to transit route
design?
Transit route is basically defined by a series of
stops/stations
Obviously we would like to locate the stop/station so as
to maximize the market (demand) coverage
The location theories mentioned above can be used to
formulate an optimization problem
However, Transit area coverage has other factors…
Route of service: passenger choose to use a certain
station/station since there is a direct service
