Two positive controls were included in both experiments
at 30 and 10°C: one mesophilic strain (TIAC
1095) isolated from a Belgian emetic food poisoning
event and one psychrotolerant strain (MC118) reported
as a cereulide producer at temperatures below 10°C
(Thorsen et al. 2006). A negative control, consisting in
sterile liquid whole egg processed as described above, was
injected to verify the absence of matrix interferences
