As with all other aspects of our business I would like to have a regular working session where we can review financial matters and prepare for future financial needs. Whatever they may be.
It is intended as an opportunity to look at not just the finances but accounting and financial processes and procedures to ensure we have appropriate checks and balances in place.
I would like to meet on the 11th of each month which is after the time when we should have completed the invoices and sent them out to our clients and the books for the previous month should have been updated.
Specifically I want to address:
Invoicing: getting the details needed so invoices can be prepared, checked and sent no later than the 10th day of each month Checks, balances and controls on all things that affect finances Current financial position Forecasting income and expenditure: short term (next month) and longer term (next 6 to 12 months)
Anything else we care to think of.
From time to time I'm sure the topics of these sessions will change.
Please confirm the regular meeting on the 11th (or the next working day) of each month at 2 PM.
