A total of 56,000 new jobs were created in Jul-Sept period in the Lima Metropolitan Area, which implies an expansion rate of 1.2%, the highest within the last ten months, the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics informed.
INEI’s head Anibal Sanchez pointed out that employed male and female workers grew 1.1% and 1.3%, respectively, which means 29,000 men and 26,000 women have entered the labor market.
Some 4,675,000 people in Lima Metropolitan Area got a job during the analysis pertiod, accounting for 93.6% of the economically active population.
