“Boon Khao Pradap Din” is celebrated on the 14th day of the waning moon in the 9th month of lunar calendar. That is why some locals call this ritual “Boon Duen Kao” . This celebration is held and devoted to remember and pay respect to their ancestors and the dead with no relatives. On the day before the celebration, women will prepare “Kao Tom Mad” (cooked sticky rice mixed with banana and wrap with banana leaf) to offer it to monks in the next morning.
