The leaf extracts of Azadirachta indica, Atropa bel/adona, Calotropis procera,. Ocimum baci/licum, Eucalyptus amygdalina, Ailqnthus excelsa and Lantana camera were prepared by following method of Dhar et al. (2). Toxicity of each of the mother extract (ME) thus obtained was determined at five different concentrations, viz., 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100% by following poisoned food technique (9). The various plant extracts
were added to sterilized potato dextrose agar medium, of double concentration in the ratio of 1:I v/v, poured into serilized petriplates (10 em) and inoculated with 2mm disc of 7 day old Fusarium oxysporum culture (isolated from infected roots of fenugreek plants) The petriplates were incubated at 25°C. (± 1°C) for 7 days and growth was measured. A check was also maintained where appropriate quantity of distilled water was mixed in place of plant extracts.
