The reception department has been revamped, where it became more of a central dispatch function area called the Core Department. This new department is responsible for reservations of any kind (room, bar, restaurant, spa), which increases the level of service to guests by reducing call transfers and aggravation that’s sometimes associated with the process. This team takes all types of calls including; maintenance, wake up calls, room service, and housekeeping. This new centralized system has proven to be more efficient and requires a smaller team, rather than having these functions scattered throughout the hotel.
