Results of the respiratory burst also showed a significant
difference between the two feeding frequencies studied (Fig. 2)
(p < 0.05). Groups fed eight times day1 presented more than twice
the respiratory burst levels than those fed twice day1 (Fig. 2). In
the latter, almost no differences were found among the different
feed types, while in the groups fed eight times day1 higher values
were found with the sunflower and corn gluten based feeds than
with the soybean and pea diets (Fig. 2).
