Therefore, it could be concluded that the thermal degradation of PVC is clearly limited by the addition of ESBO at amounts higher than 1e2 wt%, and especially if
ESBO concentrations are in the range of values used for plasticizers
(30e40 wt%). This conclusion,in addition to the inherent biodegradable
and environmentally friendly character of ESBO, gives this
compound an important added value for many applications, such as
food packaging.
