The data are given as mean ± SEM (n = 8). Mean values of liver MMP-9, MMP-2, and the ratio of MMP-9 to MMP-2 activities (MMP-9/MMP-2) indicated by a, b, and c indicate a significant difference (p < 0.05). MMP-9 and MMP-2 activities were determined by a densitometric analysis with that of Control group as 100%.
