A McNemar-Bowker test of symmetry was used to compare stages of decision-making for conventional medicine with complementary medicine . Paired –samples t-tests were used to compare decisional conflict and decisional self-efficacy for conventional medicine and complementary medicine in patients using both types of treatment . Independent samples t-tests were used to compare decisional conflict and decisional self-efficacy in patients only using conventional medicine with decisional conflict and decisional self-efficacy for complementary medicine in patients using both .All analyses were conducted using SPSS.
