KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- An explosion from a lab experiment at a University of Missouri (MU) science lab injured four people on Monday.
The explosion was ignited by a from a 2,000-psi hydrogen tank, according to the Columbia Daily Tribune. The building's sprinkler system put out the fire; however, 17 third-story windows were blown out. Officials believe human error was the cause.
Three of the victims have already been released from University Hospital. The fourth was being treated in the hospital's burn unit.
