The Taylor factor maps indicate that the maxima for resolved
critical shear stress on slip bands have been reached in regions in
the vicinity of a crack, but the orientation is not optimum for
deformation, since the Taylor factor is high. As a consequence,
cracking would occur in the areas (Fig. 11(a) and (b)) among these
grains. And the regions (Fig. 11(c) and (d)) with more low Taylor
factor grains is less potential for crack, because these grains are
more convenient for slip.
