The accuracy of the hydrologic parameters used in this estimation
was determined by comparing the simulated seasonal
hydrology from the groundwater flow model to observed groundwater
levels in six wells located in and around the village. The
results agreed to within an average of 1 m of the observed levels
suggesting that the unconventional method used to estimate
hydraulic conductivity and the village water-use survey were
appropriate. The results of this study can be used to assist with
decisions regarding future drilled well construction in the village
and serve as an example for involving rural community members in
hydrologic data collection while utilizing local resources.
