Perfect electric conductor (PEC) materials are those that are thought of as exhibiting infinite electrical conductivity. Therefore, they do not produce losses. Although this material is an idealization, it is very useful for modeling very good conducting materials, as PEC materials can be simulated much faster[further explanation needed] than ”real” materials with finite conductivity.
