3/ Know how to spot the goods: it's very easy to feel a bit disoriented once the doors opened and everyone rushes to get past you. Stay focus, lady! You'll want to reach the bags first, then the accessories and shoes, and finally the ready-to-wear. Bags should be first as it is obviously the most coveted area, some of the styles have only one or two pieces so be ready to snap them before anyone else. Remember: you are buying Chanel! Even at 50-70% of the retail price, this is still an investment on your credit card thus you'll want something timeless and classic, from which you can get mileage as you'll want to maximize your wardrobe wear. If you are looking for a clutch or evening bag, look for something either black (a perennial chic option) or something that makes a statement through a bold color or original shape/material.
As for ready-to-wear, of course you'll want to invest in the little jacket, any color will do as long as the size fit.
As for me, even though I am officially broken until the next semester, I am the proud owner of two beautiful bags, one quilted black patent for daywear and a simply stunning 2.55 in royal blue, in the softest of material, that join my ever-growing collection (see picture below), in addition to a beautiful coat from the Chanel Fall 2010 ready-to-wear collection that I will wear with glee this winter.
