2. Materials and methods
2.1. Water content analysis
Seeds of B. formosana obtained from capsules 3 months after
hand-pollination (3MAP) were collected as the test materials. Seeds
were weighed after drying for 24 h at room temperature (27
±
1 ◦C)
in laboratory conditions and dried in a sealed container using silica
gel for 0, 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, and 24 h periods. Each treatment had 4 replicates
comprising 0.02 g seeds. Seed water content was calculated
on a fresh weight basis.
