The world's largest indoor-ski facility has been built in
Funabashi, Japan, a town 30 minutes east of Tokyo
by train. The resort cost $364 million to build and has
two ski slopes - one for beginners and one for more
experienced skiers. The manager of the resort, Ryosuke
Uematsu, says that to get the same high-quality snow
elsewhere, one would have to travel to the mountains
of northern Japan. While waiting to ski, visitors can
eat, watch TV, swim or sit in a sauna. The entrance fee
rs $J5.
