3.3. Data analysis
Descriptive statistics were preformed to profile the respondents’
demographic and job-related questions. Following
the two-step approach recommended by Anderson and
Gerbing (1988), a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) with
maximum likelihood was first performed to estimate the
measurement model, which determined whether the manifest
variables reflected the hypothesized latent variables. Once the
measure was validated, a structural equation model (SEM) was
utilized to test the validity of the proposed model and
hypotheses.
