The mineralogical variability of salt-mudstones was determined with the use of
polarization microscopy and scanning electron-microscopy, for the samples oriented
parallel and perpendicular to the strike deposit. Comparatively similar measurements
were performed for the samples of white rocky salt (Z2) and red-coloured salt
(Z4).
Among of the samples of salt-mudstones, one can observe a large variety of
mineralogical compositions. The main minerals observed are: generations of halite,
anhydrite, argillaceous minerals and quartz. At the same time, the presence of the
following accessory minerals was observed: calcite, sylvine, iron compounds, spalls
of mudstones and hydrocarbons. Among the residuals insoluble in water, one can
distinguish those of the evaporatic genesis, or others of the detritic origin brought
from the land, which originated in the salt-mudstones in the epigenetic mode.
