On 1st July 2015, in the AphaiJanthawimol conference room in the Semarak Building, at the Ministry of Education, Ms. PhanitMeesunthorn, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education, presided over conference no.1/2558 with the committee organizing activities to celebrate and honor Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit on the occasion of her 83th birthday on 12th August 2015.
After the conference, the Deputy Permanent Secretary said that the Ministry of Education prepared to organize activities on the Mother's day, in order to celebrate and honor Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit on her 83th birthday on 12th August 2015. The activities will be organized by focusing on quality and participation from the public. The meeting resolved to organize the activities for three days, from 12th - 14th August 2015, under the concept of "Honor the Mother and Teacher of the Land". The activities will take place in the area in front of the Ministry of Education, RatchadamnoenNok Road.
People can lay the PhanPhum (lotus-bud shaped floral arrangements set on pedestal trays) for respecting Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit. They can also sign to wish on her birthday. A corner of the fountain will be embellished, so that people can take photographs as memorials and to share online. All the agencies involved have cooperated to arrange exhibitions and activities by focusing on the biography and royal duties of Her Majesty the Queen Sirikit relating to water management, forest conservation, the Support Arts and Crafts International Centre of Thailand (Public Organization), and wishing to her. All government agencies can propose further activities to the Bureau of General Administration, under supervision of the Permanent Secretary Office by 15th July 2015.
