Wat Roi Phra Bat Phu Manorom is located on the hill overlooking the city of Mukdahan and the Mekong River. From here one has the best view into Laos.
A large parking lot indicates the large number of Thai visitors on holidays and weekends. During the rainy season it is a very quiet place. Besides several Buddha images, covered by metal roofs, the footprint of Buddha and an old but small chedi, there is not much else to see. However, a new visitor platform below the temple and signs for donations with a plan to build a much bigger chedi could mean that this quiet place will change someday in the future
