Analysis of the 16S ssu rRNA gene sequences of these 4 isolates and the 2 reference isolates gave the highest identity (99%) to V. parahaemolyticus. Thiswas
further supported by positive PCR results obtainedwith all 6 isolates for
the lecithin-dependent hemolysin (ldh) gene that is considered to be a
species-specific marker for V. parahaemolyticus
