The Sapporo snow Festival
Sapporo is the capital of Hokkaido, the most northern island of Japan. in February every year, a Growing number of visitors come to its snow festival. Last year, about two million people to see the hundreds of beautiful snow statues and impkessive ice sculptures that the festival is famous for. The town’s ambition to hold one of Japan’ s Big winter events each year is made possible because it gets five metres of snow every winter. The festival is now an inter event that includes a snow sculpture Competition in which teams from all around the world take part. These sculptures are massive, and past entries include famous buildings, people and cartoon characters. As well as the contest, there is a wide variety of Entertainment and fun activities on offer.
