Combined mass of these 86 carcasses was 5,035 kg from which 1,515 kg (30%) of hide, bones and unconsumed tissue were recovered, indicating that vultures consumed about 4,549 kg of the 111 carcasses offered. However, an additional 18 naturally available livestock carcasses were observed in the vicinity of the vulture colony during the feeding period, at least seven of which were attended by vultures.
