The graduate is a university-trained qualified health care professional. He/she possesses theoretical and practical knowledge of drugs and pharmaceutical preparations, of their production and physical, chemical, biological, microbiological and clinical testing. He/she has knowledge of metabolism and mechanisms of action of drugs, of regulations in using drugs and pharmaceutical preparations, of the effect of toxic substances, of evaluation of scientific data concerning pharmaceuticals, of ethical, legal, social-economic and other aspects concerning pharmaceutical practice. The graduate will find his/her career as pharmacist in pharmacies, in research and development of new drugs and their production, testing and distribution, in pharmaceutical education and in other health care related professions.
