At low constant operation pressure of 20.7 MPa, the extraction
yield were the highest at 40 C with 30.2% g oil/g sample, followed
by 27% and 25.9% g oil/sample for the temperature of 60 and 50 C
respectively as shown in Fig. 2a. This finding indicates that at fixed
operating pressure of 20.7 MPa, lowering the extraction temperature
to 40 C is more effective than temperature of 50 and 60 C.
This might be due to the volatility of some aromatic compounds
that are present in the nutmeg oil when temperature was increased.
