The stagedmigration is intended for organizations that desire a shorter period of coexistence from their existing Exchangemailenvironment to ExchangeOnline.

Useridentities will automatically be provisioned by the WindowsAzureActiveDirectorySync tool.

After all the users are migrated to ExchangeOnline you can then deploy singlesignon.

This type of migration also enables you to maintain coexistenc between your on-premises and Office 365 email organizations.

In this scenario, you can move some mailboxes to Exchange Online while maintaining the rest of the mailboxes in your onpremisesmail environment.

The email migration itself is performed through the Exchange Control Panel and a CSV file. You must also use the WindowsAzureActiveDirectorySync tool to keep your onpremisesActiveDirectory synchronized with Office 365 and ExchangeOnline.
