He was adopted from a city shelter in September 1994 as a severely undernourished puppy with fleas, ticks, worms, and kennel cough.
As that started to clear,
we discovered he had a severe patent ductus arteriosus
(PDA). His heart couldn’t keep up with his growing body
and we were afraid we would lose him before he could get
well enough for PDA-correcting surgery. Fortunately, he
came through the surgery (Thank you Dr. G.) with fl ying
colors and grew into a happy healthy dog weighing about
60 pounds.
