Problem solver - Whether it’s overcoming customer objections/concerns, dealing with an emergency or handling grumpy operational staff, a good sales consultant needs to be able to step in and help solve the problem for the customer. More than almost anything else, solving their problems will go a long way toward building a positive long-term relationship with that customer.
Successful sales consultants solve problems, help their customers make decisions and get them to feel comfortable about having them as part of their team. At the end of the day, who would you rather do business with: an order taker or someone you see as a valuable member of your team?
