Service History Checked? >> Regular Services checkup or any kinds of services. [JH] The overall servicing required for the vehicle e.g. a vehicle needs to be serviced, as per the vehicle manufacturers recommendations, every 12 months/15,000Km (whichever is the sooner). For all warranty programmes (Extended or Used) it’s always part of the terms & conditions that the vehicle is serviced/maintained as per the manufacturers recommendations.
Note: this will soon be complemented by MEWII-2581 where you and/or the dealer can add the dates/mileages of the vehicles service/maintenance history directly in the claim (and, in a later development phase, in the policy details)
Service Related? >> What kind of services are related. [JH] This is to identify repairs that would be considered as forming part of the overall service/maintenance requirement for the vehicle. For example tyre replacement, brake pads, brake discs, drive belts, windscreen wiper blades, etc – really anything that would be expected to be replaced as part of general vehicle use or forms part of a service routine (e.g. cam belt replacement)
