Quantitative research is a formal, objective and
systematic process in which numerical data is used
to obtain information. It involves testing a hypothesis
or trying to discover relationships. It is generally
deductive research (this means that a scientist would
start from a hypothesis and then begin observations
to prove the hypothesis). It is designed to establish
differences, relationships or causality (does one thing
cause another?).
