First, I would like to congratulate SOME people who submitted an ORIGINAL work. The samples that I have given in the class are meant to be SAMPLES and NOT a pattern to be COPIED. I feel disappointed that many of you copied and worst edited and only inserted your personal information in a wrong way making the document grammatically incorrect.
I was assuming that since you are English majors you would take it to heart to PROOFREAD your work to at least make it free from grammatical errors and more importantly misspelled words. A bit of research would have helped you more.
Yes, I read all your resumes and cover letter only to find out that one is almost the same copy as the others. I have already marked them even if they are full of errors since they are already your second draft. I find it a useless endeavor to edit each one that is almost the same copy of the other. BUT I cannot let you send these resumes to the interviewers as they are, so here’s what you can do: PRINT all (resume and cover letter) I would appreciate it if you can revise it based on what you think is wrong about it. BRING your printed copies on Tuesday.
I will need to talk to you one by one about your papers. I need to make sure that you COMPLETELY understand what is wrong about your paper and how must you revise it. Perhaps, I will have to meet each one of you after class on Tuesday for this.
I have a NO RESUME, NO INTERVIEW policy, so if you cannot polish your resume and cover letter you will not be scheduled for an interview.
