You’d think with all the advances in technology in recent years, it’d be easy to track where a commercial plane is. But yet another plane has gone missing in the Pacific with 54 people on board.
Indonesian search and rescue teams are currently looking for the passenger plane which has gone missing over the eastern region of Papua.
The plane took off from Sentani airport in the region’s capital Jayapura and was on its way to Oksibil, located south of the city.
However the Trigana Air ATR 42 turboprop plane failed to arrive at its destination after contact was lost, according to the National Search and Rescue Agency.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the 44 adults, five children and infants and five crew who are missing.
We're sure this won't be the last we hear of this...
