Residing in India and Southeast Asia is the common Baron. Belonging the the family of nymphalidae, it is a medium-sized butterfly that has a stiff-flap flying technique that lets it glide through low elevations of the air. It is also a dimorphic species, lending the female adults to be larger and lightly warm-colored compared to its male counterpart. What really sets the Baron apart from insect of its order, like luna moths or monarchs, however, is its larval stage as a strange caterpillar.
