Greetings. Would it be possible to visit the AF Academies Preparatory School in the morning of Thursday, December 17?
As you may know, Lt. J.G. Supaporn Gumsa, is currently completing a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree at Rangsit University. I was one of her instructors and am currently her research advisor.
Some 12 years ago, the President of Rangsit University asked me to assist a small team of distinguished Thai educators to establish the bilingual education graduate degree programme at Rangsit University. Since that time I have beenkeenly interested in knowing more about how leading schools, such as the Armed Forces Academies, are incorporating more English language teaching into the regular Thai curriculum.
Your teacher, Lt. Supaporn, has spoken very highly of your efforts to expand English language learning opportunities for selected students in your school. She has also described a recent arrangement whereby some classes are being taught science, a core subject, in which English is the language of instruction.
I would very much appreciate if you would allow me and a colleague, Dr. Ubon, to visit the AF Academies Preparatory School for the first half of Thursday, December 17, beginning with the morning ceremonies at 0730 hours.
We would hope to meet with you and teachers in your English Department, and, if possible, observe a class in which English is the language of instruction.
Respectfully,
