Extraction and quantification of chlorophylls will be carried out as described by Bekhradi et al., (2015). Two grams of fresh kaffir lime leaves will be mixed with 20 mL of 80% acetone. The extraction tubes will be homogenised by ultra turrax (Ika, Staufen, Germany) then centrifuged at 3000 rpm for 15 min. After that, the supernatant will be diluted with 80% acetone (1:4). Chlorophyll a and chlorophyll b will be measured at 470, 646 and 663nm absorbance and calculation will be carried out as described by Bekhradi et al. (2015). Results will be expressed in mg per 100 g of fresh weight (FW).
