Lone Ranger
The Geomchis were instructing players on the way of the sword in the Training Halls. They were spread all over the place, from the Rosenheim Kingdom to the Orc villages. The Training Halls were famous for their low prices and attracted many paying customers to them. Ever since the Geomchis had taken over management of the Training Halls, it wasn’t easy to get a spot anymore.
“All those who want to learn the sword, come to the Training Hall!”
At first, most of the users had reacted with skepticism.
“Training Hall? Isn’t that where you hit the scarecrow? Why would I bother doing that? When it comes down to fighting I can just learn sword skills myself.”
Geomchis all over the land were getting laughed at by beginners. Still, many beginners came out of curiosity, since they had nothing better to do anyway. With four weeks to kill before anyone could leave the city gates, meticulous exploration was called for.
“Hold back and swing only when you know you can get an accurate hit, it will be much more effective that way. Haphazardly swinging at what’s in front of you won’t always get results. Instead, watch the monsters behavior and wait for your chance. That’s when you strike.”
The Geomchis had a lot experience with dojos, so they were all very comfortable teaching beginners.
“You can learn to fight if you go to the Training hall.”
“Is there really a need to learn?”
“You probably should. Hunting is a lot harder for people who haven’t learned the necessary fighting skills.”
To top it all off, there was also a recruitment effort in the town square.
“Come to the Training Hall. The first day is free. Learn how to fight!”
Most beginners didn’t have any fighting skill worth mentioning, it was laughably pathetic. Real fights are taxing both physically and mentally. Most novices don’t realize that when they come across a monster for the first time and succumb to panic. After learning from a Geomchi however, hunting became much easier. The Geomchis taught you how to react to each and every type of monster.
Whenever a Geomchi gave a lesson people gathered like thunderclouds. They even came from different kingdoms, just to stand in line for a lesson. One particular Geomchi demonstration even had over 1,000 novice users that sat down to watch and listen.
“You only managed to do a shallow cut? Do not fear, you have colleagues to back you up. Stand firm with your back straight.”
They lectured with soft wooden swords while painting a picture of brotherhood and love. The Geomchis’ way of life was being passed on. They gave the impression of philosophers who had found the meaning of brotherly love.
“Amazing.”
“He is a good person, even if he is a little scary looking.”
A man looks good when he is faithfully working out. Drenched in sweat from sword lessons both instructor and practitioners were quite ‘attractive’. However the girls never had the chance to see it!
Geomchi10, an instructor in the Orc village, was giving a sword demonstration. His movements were too efficient and concise for the slow beginners to be able to see.
“This is not quite right, is it, instructor?”
The female orcs had distinctive belly and hips that rocked in peculiar motions. Each time one of the practitioners instructed…
“It’s like this…”
Gently grasping the waist and wrist and drawing the sword in the correct trajectory, accidental touching occurred! The practitioners, acting as instructors, were teaching with satisfied smiles on their faces while their hands guided their students.
“The instructor is really reassuring.”
“This time can you join us while hunting? Chwik chwik.”
If the request was coming from a female orc, they would readily accept.
“Of course.”
The instructors hunted with the women they had taught.
“It’s time to go back… Can I see you next time?”
“I am Geomchi10.”
The Geomchis were smoothly registering new friends!
“Can I see the dojo next time I visit?”
“It’s a date! We can go to the amusement park after.”
Practitioners were aggressively trying to meet up with female users. As a result, some practitioners were even able to bravely try dating after having adventures side by side.
“Hehe, she went to the amusement park with me.”
“Friends, don’t be surprised! I got to hold her hand for the first time!”
“Geomchi40, are you crazy? What if she slapped you?!”
“I deliberately went to the fountains. I knew my hands would be wet since I was so nervous. So I just said it was spray from the fountain.”
“What was it like?”
“What can I say? It was a strange and wonderful feeling.”
“Will you try holding her cheek next?”
“I can only hope to experience such a thing.”
Successful love tales such as these, made both practitioners and instructors dream of burning love. However, women weren’t the only ones being taught the way of the sword. There were just as many men who came to the Geomchis. In fact, regardless of age or sex, people came flocking to the Training Halls.
After being trained, even novices could fight well. Their progress was astounding and due to the quick increase of skills, many novices clamored to be the Geomchis’ disciples.
“Please teach me, instructor!”
“We want to go hunting. Please, lead us down the right path.”
“At what time is today’s lecture?”
By teaching their sword skills to the public, the Geomchis attracted an enormous amount of people. Even people who had already passed their 4 weeks of confinement would go back to the Training Hall in order to attend their lessons. Surprisingly, mid-level users in the 200’s also came quite often.
The Training Hall, filled with scarecrows, became the place for the Geomchi’s to teach martial arts. Most of the practitioner’s thought that a majority of the applicants were annoying, but if you had enthusiasm you would be accepted. Hell, you didn’t even need money to become a disciple.
“The admission cost comes in the form of nine pieces of barley bread.”
“Keuheok!”
“If you do not know hunger then you can never become a true fighter. Hunger can bring out your true strength through willpower.”
Men, women and children. Geomchis’ disciples had spread all over the Versailles continent. With their distinctly broad shoulders, blunt speech, and sharp eyes, the disciples spread throughout the Rosenheim Kingdom and the Yuroki Mountains. Many men had a curved sword emblem on the left side of their chest and stood in town squares looking for companions.
“What’s up, dude. After going to the Training Hall, you wanna go on a hunt?”
