Fish sampling was conducted at 1-week intervals. Twenty fish were
randomly sampled from each tank for individual weight and returned to their
tank. Water quality (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, nitrite nitrogen, and
total ammonia nitrogen) were determined weekly between 8:00 and 14:00 h.
pH was measured with a thermo-pH meter (YSI Model 60). Dissolved oxygen
(DO) was measured with a YSI Model-58 DO meter. Total ammonia nitrogen
(TAN) and nitrite nitrogen were measured spectrophotometcally according
to the American Public Health Association (APHA) (1998)
