Analysis of Meyer and Allen’s Framework
How well do the ACS, CCS, and NCS reflect the underlying AC, NC, and CC concepts?
While numerous studies have assessed the construct validity of these scales from a
statistical point of view (Meyer et al., 2002), in this section the wording of the scale items
are analyzed as a means of assessing the degree to which each scale taps the theorized
structure of the corresponding construct—as defined by Allen and Meyer (1990); Meyer
and Herscovitch (2001) and Meyer et al. (2006) that each is designed to reflect.
