Achievement test (pre-test, post-test)
The achievement test items are developed by the
researchers to measure each of the behaviours related
to the content of the ‘Multimedia Design and Production’
course. Experts in the relevant field are asked
about the content validity, and according to their suggestions
corrections are made. The question items are
given their final form as a test containing 50 multiplechoice
questions. The pilot of the academic achievement
test is administered to 100 students, none of
whom are included in the study. Internal consistency of
the test is calculated using the Iteman for Windows
(Item and Test Analysis Program, Version 3.5) software
for item discrimination and difficulty index values.
According to the results of the analysis, the bottom line
for discrimination is 0.30 for the discrimination index
value, and between 0.20 and 0.80 for the item difficulty
index value. Eighteen questions, whose item difficulty
index values are below 0.20, are omitted from the test
considering the content validity, and questions whose
item discrimination index values are below 0.30 are
corrected. After these revisions and arrangements, the
achievement test consisted of 32 questions. KR20 reliability
