As indicated in the tables in Fig. 6, ANS started to thermally
degrade faster than the control starch i.e. at the onset temperature
(To) of 192.3 ± 1.83 ◦C while the latter begun at 251.8 ± 1.75 ◦C. The
starches experienced maximum degradation temperature (Tmax) at
287.3 ± 1.96 ◦C for ANS and 323.2 ± 1.77 ◦C for the control starch.
