The state Veterinary Services Department laboratory is currently investigating the reason behind the goat’s human-looking features.
Agriculture and Agro-based Industry committee chairman Ismail Mohamed said this included exploring the possibility that a human violated the mother goat.
“For now we cannot confirm or deny anything as we have never received such a case before,” he toldThe Star.
“We will have to wait for the results and findings to be finalised and that takes somewhere between two weeks and a month.”
While the wait for answers continues, many people have made the connection the goat’s resemblance with a faun — a mythological half human-half goat manifestation of forest and animal spirits.
