The onset of signs of disease was delayed when the
pathogen was administered orally, with the first symptoms occurring on Day 2 and the first deaths on
Day 3. The mortality schedule of oral delivery was the
only route of infection statistically different with pairwise
comparison to intraperitoneal injection (G = 4.30,
df =1, p < 0.05), indicating a possible difference in the
progress of the disease. No deaths were observed
after Day 7.
