Following harvest and grading, an additional unwashed
30 tuber sample was collected from a composite of all
grade sizes above 57 g from each plot. This sample was
transported to the storage facility at the Kimberly Research Center for further evaluation of treatment effects
following storage. These samples were placed in 4.5 kg
mesh bags and then placed in storage at 10 °C and
95 % R.H. for 10 days to complete wound healing.
Following wound healing, the temperature was de-
creased at a rate of 0.3 °C per day and brought down
to a holding temperature of 4 °C. Following storage for
132 days after harvest (DAH) and 93 DAH in 2009 and
2010, respectively, tubers were washed in tap water, and
skin color visually rated on a 1 to 5 scale (1 = light;
